GREENPEACE AUSTRALIA PACIFIC
Greenpeace is a global environmental organisation dedicated to securing a world capable of nurturing life in all of its magnificent diversity. We are fully independent, accepting no funding from any government or business.
Founded in 1971, Greenpeace now operates as 26 independent national/regional organisations in over 55 countries, making it collectively one of the largest environmental networks on Earth. At Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), we're not just a team; we're a movement. By joining us, you're not just taking a job – you're seizing an opportunity to make a real-world difference.
This is a full time, permanent position, open to candidates across Australia.
THE TEAM
Our Data & Engineering team is a close-knit crew of technology experts, scattered across the country but united in purpose. We embrace a hybrid work model, allowing autonomy with the ability to unite for monumental projects when needed. Down-to-earth and collaborative, we're all about making things happen.
The Salesforce Platforms Lead position will work closely with amazing colleagues from across the entire organisation. Depending on the project, this role ensures the platform is strategically governed, effectively integrated, and consistently leveraged by internal teams.
In collaboration with the broader team this role will focus on maximising out-of-the-box capability, driving internal platform governance, managing Salesforce vendor/s, and ensuring seamless data and process integration across GPAP’s digital ecosystem.
THE ROLE
Are you ready to lead and shape the Salesforce platforms driving environmental impact? As our Salesforce Platforms Lead, you'll take the reins of GPAP’s Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Data Cloud, and related tools — ensuring they deliver scalable, insight-driven, and mission-aligned support for fundraising, supporter engagement, and campaign delivery.
This is more than a technical role. It’s an opportunity to lead platform strategy, manage high-performing vendor partnerships, and empower teams to reach and inspire millions of supporters across the region.
Some of the core responsibilities of the role will include:
- Own the roadmap: Define and evolve the Salesforce platform strategy, ensuring it's aligned with our campaigning and supporter goals.
- Drive adoption: Promote feature uptake, empower internal teams, and optimise user experiences across fundraising, engagement, and campaigns.
- Lead vendor collaboration: Coordinate sprints, prioritise enhancements, and ensure high-quality delivery from Salesforce partners.
- Ensure clean, connected data: Power personalisation and insights with accurate, real-time supporter data integrations.
- Support smarter journeys: Use Einstein AI and automation tools to boost donor engagement and campaign effectiveness.
- Deliver results: Oversee incidents, sprint planning, and change control — all while improving platform stability and service KPIs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will have:
- 5+ years in Salesforce platform configuration, product ownership, or administration
- Certified Salesforce Administrator, with experience in Nonprofit Cloud and Data Cloud highly desirable
- Strong understanding of Einstein AI, flows, roles & permissions, AppExchange, reporting, and low-code tools
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills
- Experience working with vendors or managed service providers
- A demonstrated ability to translate technical capabilities into strategic and supporter impact
- Passion for the mission and values of Greenpeace
We are looking for someone with a values-driven mindset and a passion for climate action, social justice, and people-powered change. If you have experience working across fundraising, campaign, or supporter engagement teams—ideally in the nonprofit or advocacy space we would love to hear from you!
We recognise that sometimes the right person for a job is based on personal qualities and not just qualifications. If you are not sure whether you are qualified, we would strongly encourage you to make an inquiry or go ahead and apply—we like to think laterally about all our appointments.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- A role with one of the most well-known brands in the environmental NGO space, and the strength of the 50 years of Greenpeace behind you;
- A great work-life balance including 35 hour work week, integrity framework and generous leave conditions (including an additional week of paid leave between Christmas and New Years);
- Genuine flexible working conditions including remote work or hybrid working arrangements;
- An incredible combined head office and warehouse space in Rosebery, Sydney. Plus, co-working spaces in Melbourne and Perth;
- A workplace culture that values inclusivity, belonging and diversity; and
- An annual health allowance
Annual full-time salary: $134,853.30 per annum + 12% superannuation.
