GREENPEACE AUSTRALIA PACIFIC
Greenpeace is a global environmental organisation dedicated to securing a world capable of nurturing life in all of its magnificent diversity. We are fully independent, accepting no funding from any government or business.
Founded in 1971, Greenpeace now operates as 26 independent national/regional organisations in over 55 countries, making it collectively one of the largest environmental networks on Earth. At Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), we're not just a team; we're a movement. By joining us, you're not just taking a job – you're seizing an opportunity to make a real-world difference.
This is a full time, 12 month fixed term contract, open to candidates across Australia.
THE TEAM
Our Data & Engineering team is a close-knit crew of technology experts, scattered across the country but united in purpose. We embrace a hybrid work model, allowing autonomy with the ability to unite for monumental projects when needed. Down-to-earth and collaborative, we're all about making things happen.
You will work closely with this team and our Finance, Fundraising, Engagement, and vendor teams to ensure consistent and timely data processing across our core platforms. You will also support service management activities such as incident tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
THE ROLE
As our Operations Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day flow of data and donations that power Greenpeace’s mission. From payment processing and supporter data quality to coordinating with fundraising partners and solving operational issues, you’ll help ensure our systems run smoothly and efficiently.
You’ll work across a range of platforms—including Salesforce Non-Profit Cloud, HubSpot, Stripe, PayPal, and CommBiz—and collaborate with teams in Finance, Fundraising, and Engagement, as well as with external vendors and telefundraising agencies.
Some of the core responsibilities of the role will include:
- Monitor and reconcile donation payments across platforms
- Maintain clean and accurate supporter data through regular audits and validations
- Coordinate outbound/inbound data flows with external marketing and telefundraising partners
- Track operational performance and flag issues or trends affecting campaign success
- Drive process improvements and support automation using low-code tools or native workflows
- Monitor operational dashboards and maintain data quality logs, supporting campaign fulfilment and issue resolution
- Ensure alignment with Greenpeace data and privacy policies
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will have:
- At least 3 years’ experience in operations, data, or finance support (non-profit or fundraising background a plus)
- Strong working knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and payment tools (Stripe, PayPal)
- Experience with data reconciliation, structured data ingestion, and quality assurance processes
- Familiarity with IT service workflows such as incident triage and escalation (e.g. using Jira or ServiceNow)
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets or Excel)
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor communication abilities
We are looking for someone with a values-driven mindset and a passion for climate action, social justice, and people-powered change.
We recognise that sometimes the right person for a job is based on personal qualities and not just qualifications. If you are not sure whether you are qualified, we would strongly encourage you to make an inquiry or go ahead and apply—we like to think laterally about all our appointments.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- A role with one of the most well-known brands in the environmental NGO space, and the strength of the 50 years of Greenpeace behind you;
- A great work-life balance including 35 hour work week, integrity framework and generous leave conditions (including an additional week of paid leave between Christmas and New Years);
- Genuine flexible working conditions including remote work or hybrid working arrangements;
- An incredible combined head office and warehouse space in Rosebery, Sydney. Plus, co-working spaces in Melbourne and Perth;
- A workplace culture that values inclusivity, belonging and diversity; and

Annual full-time salary: $97,942.75 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
