Be bold. Be creative. Be part of the fight for a green and peaceful future.

At Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), we believe a better world is possible and we’re determined to make it real. We are an independent campaigning organisation, powered by people and creative action, taking on the biggest environmental and climate challenges of our time. Our priorities are:

  • tackling climate change by stopping emissions from fossil fuel extraction at source; and
  • protecting nature, including our oceans and forests, by stopping the largest sources of environmental destruction like industrial fishing and deforestation.

Whatever your role at GPAP, you’ll be part of something bigger: a passionate global movement that sparks action, holds decision‑makers to account, and drives lasting change for people and the planet. This is an opportunity to use your skills, creativity, and commitment to help shape a future worth fighting for.

THE TEAM

Based out of the GPAP Head office, we are on a mission to build a world class In-house Telefundraising Team. Working full-time hours, our agents will inspire potential new supporters about the need to protect our oceans, reduce plastic pollution and talk about humanity's most pressing challenge – Climate Change.

Our team onboards new supporters with a regular financial donation because that’s what taking action is all about.

THE ROLE

As a member of our vibrant in-house Contact Centre team, you’ll connect with supporters who’ve taken action on Greenpeace campaigns; people who’ve signed petitions, shared messages, or expressed interest in a greener future. Your mission is to inspire them to become regular donors or increase their support, helping Greenpeace remain 100% independent and people-powered.

You’ll be part of a team that embodies Greenpeace’s values; trust, respect, creativity, and a global mindset and you’ll play a key role in growing the community that funds our frontline environmental action.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Engage with new and existing supporters over the phone to inspire financial contributions.
  • Achieve fundraising targets including conversion rate, contact rate, and average gift.
  • Deliver authentic, persuasive and informative conversations aligned with Greenpeace campaigns.
  • Keep accurate and secure supporter records while maintaining data integrity.
  • Participate in regular coaching sessions to grow your skills and impact.
  • Uphold Greenpeace’s standards, Code of Conduct, and commitment to integrity.

Working collaboratively with a group of like-minded individuals, you will contribute to brainstorming and executing innovative fundraising strategies, ensuring our initiatives make a lasting impact.

Are you a sales superstar or maybe you’re a great conversationalist, enjoy engaging with people and want to make a real, tangible difference in the world? This opportunity might be for you.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re an excellent communicator who’s passionate about the environment and believes in people’s power to make change. You thrive in a target-driven environment and can balance empathy with persuasion.

You’ll ideally have:

  • At least one year of experience in sales, fundraising, or telemarketing.
  • You are confident, patient, and resilient, even under pressure.
  • Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills.
  • You can think creatively to connect with supporters and tailor conversations.
  • Is organised, adaptable, and comfortable using computer systems and CRMs.
